We many be just a few ordinary kids, but we're determined to live extraordinary lives. This project is to help us and others as we take our first steps to living better stories.
Path2Awesome was inspired by the book A Million Miles in a Thousand Years by Donald Miller (see it here), friends who crave adventure as much as we do, and a fantastic leadership class from Williamsburg Academy. There are so many things out there to see and experience and learn and become, but actually doing it is where it gets hard. But like Bob Moawad said,
"You can't leave footprints in the sands of time by sitting on your butt. And who wants to leave buttprints in the sands of time?"
If you want to be someone different than who you are today, go for it! There's no better time to live life on purpose like now. We've started small by doing things each day that help us make life better for somebody else, create something you love or have meaningful experiences.
Meaningful things can include anything from making time for family to sharing a smile with a stranger to creating a work of art. It's not always the big things that change lives--like Robert Brault said, "Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things."
Each week we're going to post updates of things we've done, big or small, that have helped us to live a better story. We encourage you to do the same! Take a look at the Share Your Story page to see how you can be part of our big project. Want to see what inspires us? Visit our Trail Guide page for all that...and how we got our name. For more on what we each think a great story is check out the About Us page.
